Heather G. Anderson was born in Humboldt, Tennessee. Heather graduated Magna Cum Laude from the University of Tennessee where she was Phi Beta Kappa, receiving a Bachelor of Arts in 1995. She received her Juris Doctor degree from the University of Memphis in 1998 and while there. received the Dean's Award for Excellence in Trial Advocacy and authored "Exercising Personal Jurisdiction Based on Internet Contacts" published in the Tennessee Journal of Practice and Procedure. Prior to joining Howard & Howard, Heather practiced law with the Memphis, Tennessee labor and employment boutique firm of Young & Perl. Ms. Anderson received the Memphis Business Journal's Top Under 40 Award in 2002, and was the only attorney to receive the honor that year.
A featured seminar speaker, Heather is an active member of the Tennessee Bar Association, the Knoxville Bar Association, the Tennessee Lawyer's Association of Women, a former president of both the East Tennessee Lawyer's Association of Women and the University of Tennessee Student Alumni Building Council. Anderson is on the Board of Directors of the Sertoma Center and enjoys being an involved community volunteer in Knoxville, where she lives with her family.
Her practice is focused in the areas of general litigation, employment law, entertainment law, and real estate matters.
