Elizabeth Dodd Sherrod was born in Richmond, Virginia and grew up in Raleigh, North Carolina.  Mrs. Sherrod graduated cum laude from the University of North Carolina at Wilmington in 2005 with a Bachelor of Arts in English and a Bachelor of Arts in Criminal Justice, and received her Doctor of Jurisprudence from the University of Memphis, Cecil C. Humphrey's School of Law in 2008.  While at the University of Memphis Mrs. Sherrod served on the Moot Court Board and was a member of Phi Alpha Delta legal fraternity. 

Mrs. Sherrod is a member of the Junior League of Knoxville and serves as the Habitat for Humanity Co-Chair of the Knoxville Bar Association Barristers. 

Mrs. Sherrod focuses her practice in the area of general civil litigation.
